Message: know all of you guys have alot of experience about sound system... hope you can help me.
I have 1 L7 15"(dual 4ohms)and my amplifier is VIBE1200d.
I cannot decide, what kind of enclosure will i have to used. I am thinking about the ported enclosure, but I dont know what kind of design should I build other than the manufacturers design.this will be installed to my back compartment.
about how much max db will a L7 15" gives with a 800watts power amps.(approximately)
How will I know that if, for example, I put 50hz sound on the input I also get 50hz on the output.
Is there any testing media to used in order to have a proper tuning??
Thanks.......

Message: you could download winisd and if you type pick the sub the volume of your box and how many ports what you want it tuned to then it will tell you the port lengths and stuff like that. you would probably want to tune it anywhere from 35-38 hz. just go to google or something and search for winsd and you should find it

Message: Generally the manufacturer's specs are right on as they perform real-life testing to determine what size of enclosures perform best with that particular driver. If you need to change the design of the enclosure, try to keep the volume the same. The type of enclosure can directly affect the output. Ported systems perform well but only when properly tuned. If you don't port it right it will sound like crap. For the beginner I usually suggest going with a sealed enclosure as they are much more forgiving when it comes to variances in volume, etc. and can usually operate reasonably well anywhere from .5 to 1.5 cubic feet depending on the driver, which is actually one of the nice things about the sealed systems if you're limited on trunk space. Personally I like a bandpass..can't beat the smoothness and low fs, but they are not for the beginner if you're looking to build and they take up a notorious amount of space!

Message: I don't believe your amps have a Preamp Out, at least none of the specs I dug up on them specify as much. This limits your use to a single amp. You have a couple of options from here.
Parallel: A dual 4-ohm voice coil subwoofer with its coils wired in parallel presents a 2-ohm load to your amplifier. Since an amplifier produces more wattage at a lower impedance, the parallel connection ensures you'll get the most output from your amp. In the same fashion, if you have a stereo amplifier and two DVC subs, wire both subs for 2-ohm impedance (one per channel) for maximum output.
Series: Series wiring lets you configure multiple woofers to one amplifier at an acceptable impedance. Wire both coils in series for an 8-ohm impedance, and then wire two 8-ohm subs together in parallel for 4-ohm total impedance (perfect for most 2-channel amps bridged to mono operation). Another example: if you have a high-powered 2-channel amplifier, wire four 8-ohm subs per channel (each channel sees a 2-ohm load).
Another option would be to get rid of the two amps and buy a high-power 4-channel amp, or two mono class-d amps with preout on them.

Message: I should also mention that you could conceivably utilize a Y-Splitter cable from the sub-out preamp of your Head Unit which would enable you to hook up both amps. I don't recommend it if you want to keep a clear, direct signal path to the drivers though.

Message: The only way that I know of to do that is with the splitter. That is assuming you do not have the Preamp Out/In (or Line Out/In)on your amps. The docs I found say they don't but you can check your amp to be sure. You would hook the Y-cable into the Sub-Out of your head unit and then run independant lines to each amp from the Y-cable. As I said, I don't recommend it and you try it at your own risk.
