 Subject: where to put LED for alarm?

im getting my alarm put in next week. i dont know where to have them put the LED for the alarm.
i dont really want to go drilling holes in the dash. if i ever sell it i will take out the alar, and i dont want a 1/4 inch hole in the dash.
any suggestions?

what kinda alarm do u have? i have the viper alarm, and i hid the little blinking red light under the dash and got one of these: http://www.directed.com/security/access/leds.asp and it just sticks to your window, and i can see it from a long way away. (i hate that corny red blinking light)

i was thinking about leaving the LED out too. just hidding it.
i also have a VARAD led scanner on my rearview. i was going to use both, but i think ill just use the scanner

I have one of those Varad EL scanners on the back of my mirror too...I got the blue one...I also put the LED in the little spot where the fog light switch is supposed to go cuz I don't have them...

I'm sorry to say it, but you're almost neglecting any possible use your alarm would have by putting the type of alarm on a sticker on your window. Any thieves who see your sticker will know what kiind of alarm you have and will know how to disarm it. LED's are much more effective because the would-be thief knows you have an alarm but doesn't know what kind.
Also, try this out: just get an LED and no alarm. people will think you have an alarm. I think I read somewhere where 80% of thieves leave a car alone if they think it's got an alarm.
I say put it on your dash. even when you disconnect your alarm you can leave the LED there. Mine is next to my steering wheel, but it doesn't blink so it's not so bad.
