Subject: HELP!!!! IP: Logged
Message: I have a system that is coming off of my original factory head unit. I have a 96' Dakota. I recently installed two 12" subs pushed by a 300 watt 2 channel amp. I also have a 600 watt 4 channel amp pushing all new high watt speakers. The 600 watt amp has a RCA cord sending output to my 300 watt amp b/c that's what the company said to do wit my unit. But that goes into the input of the 300 watt amp. Well everthing works just great except when I turn the radio on first thing the left channel sub won't kick on. Sometimes it never does but then sometimes when I am riding down the road she will kick in and stay on or just go out. All my settings are right and everything works just right exceptshe doesn't want to work for me. If I get some real deep loud bass she always kicks in and goes b/c just one sub can't hold it all. My grounds are good and wires are great b/c I checked them wit the meter and signal probe. So whtever info you all can give me it would be appreciated!!!! Thanx

Message: it may be an internal problem with your sub amp. there may be a loose connection inside and when you hit bumps or a deep bass note hits it "jiggles" the wires inside enough to connect again.
