Subject: porting a thunderform IP: Logged
Message: Just wondering if you could port the thunderform. Will this really screw up the bass or make it better. Had a friend that made a box and did'nt like the way the bass hit, some called it "true bass", so he added two ports and now it seems to hit harder. Don't know if this would work w/ the thunderform since its made out of rubbermaid, let me know what some of you think.

Message: leave it alone. you could do it, but there is not enough air space to make it sound good. there is only .8 ft^3 of airspace per sub.
all subs, when ported, need a min amount of airspace to have a good sound quality. and usually that airspace min is around 1.5 ft^3.
if you do it you are just destroying yout T-Form.
