Subject: Keep your Stock Radios! Here's Why IP: Logged
Message: Why you ask? Because... If you ever intend on selling your Dakota, or trading it in. The closer your vehicle is to factory condition the more it is worth. If you were lucky enough to be able to remove your radio before any major usage, it is worth more to you than it is to anyone you could ever sell it to. Although the temptation is strong to get that 60 to 100 bucks for that radio, remember this... When it comes time to sell that truck you're going to wish you kept that radio. I work for a Car Auction that sells more than 400 cars a week to the general public and dealers. Perhaps the biggest factor in the eyes of a public buyer is seeing a car modified, especially electronically.
So keep that radio, its worth 150 to 200 bucks in trade in value when re-installed in your truck. A radio that shows no wear or scratches can tell a valuable story to the discriminating buyer. This alone is worth a grand!
