Subject: Fuses and amps IP: Logged
Message: I have the Rockford dual amp wiring kit. Im getting new amps, 1 is 40amps and the other is 60 amps,
How big of fuses will work with them? Does a fuse only blow if you hook it up up wrong or can it blow from putting to much power through it?

Message: A good rule of thumb is to put a fuse in that will handle 10 amps more than you need so in your case the one up by the battery should be 110 amps...

Message: no, AGU fuses only go up to 60A....you'll have to go with a waffer style fuse...unless you run two in parallel, but that's alot of hassle....
