Message: i dont mind sony products, but there mobile audio equipment is way down the list compared to companies who specialize in it. sony makes great electronics tho.

Message: I'll second that opinion...all my home stereo equipment is sony...and I love it...I just don't think they thrive towards winning people over with their mobile audio equipment

Message: I've seen one, sat it in, I even helped the guy unload it (they are transported in 18wheelers). If I remember there are like 7 of them that they transport all over the country as demos at bigger stereo comps. It looks real nice but I wasn't really all that impressed by it's performance. When I was helping unload it I mentioned to the guy that I had a dakota and he said yeah well this one is bad ass, wait till you hear the exhaust on it. I was like oh cool. Saw the cowl hood and was expecting something. He cranked it up and it was a V-6. I laughed and walked off at that point. Later he was telling me about the components and how they are the loudest clearest ones out there and at the time were like $450 a set or something. I listened to and said eh, it's ok but my one set of quarts is louder and cleaner. Later they ran the truck through the lanes. It's pretty loud and punchy to the ear but on a meter it only did a 148. My friends DB drag car beat him with 1 amp and 4 12's with no wall. :D

Message: You cant compare the xplod dakota to alma's bronco. I've seen it, I've even met alma on a few occasions and talked with her. The bronco was great but it was an extreme car. No factory glass, no mids, hell it doesn't even have a cd player on the inside of the vehicle. They were designed for totally different reasons.
