Subject: 2 w7's in R/T IP: Logged
Message: Ho would I put two 12-inch JL Audio w7's in my truck and keep the bench? Would I have to have a box ported through the back of it and half of it in the bed? Best regards

Message: W7's have to be professionally installed. You could take out the storage box under the bench and have a custom box made.Your also going to have to use alot of dynomat. Also make sure every thing in the cab is renforced. My friend has 2 12" W7's and alot of sh** raddled loose or completely off!! I hope this helps.

Message: Looking at the 12W7, technical specs, they require 9.5" depth and 11.25" overall depth.
There is no easy way, without sacrificing the seats.. -or- make a blow through the rear cab wall and into the bed, -or- cut out the bottom of the cab and make some special baskets that drop through the floor... professional, by collegiate sports rules if you get paid to do it you are a professional.

Message: you can fit over 4 cubes after displacement and wood subtractions per sub in the back of a CC dakota. my box that i just built saturday is 47"longx17"tallx27"high... subs firing up. you could build the box yourself.....there is NOTHING that HAS TO BE professionally installed......

Message: If you would like you near $2000 investment warrented by the manufacturer, JL will not warrant amateur installed W7s. An authorized dealer must install them. Tweeter is not even allowed to sell a W7 without attaching custom installation.

Message: I'd love to see madmaxin22 install a kenne-bell supercharger on my truck later this summer..
1. stares at the kit in the box for 2 hours
2. pops the hood
3. scratches his nutbag
4. sniffs
5. stares at the kit for another 3 hours
6. "well dayyyum i reckon so there are some things that ought to be professionally installed"
Not trying to offend you, you just had so much certainty in your post that anyone is capable of anything.

Message: not n rt- no offence taken bud... supercharger install is a tad different than building a focking box and hooking up wires....you guys and your warranties,, unless there is a defect w/ the product, a sub or amp should never blow unless you either hooked it up wrong or abused it. ive been into car audio for 5 years now and I have never managed to blow any subs, or kill any amps that i have had in my 6 different setups.... my suggestion to do it yourself or w/ the aid of a buddy is to save a crapload of money. if you wanna get screwed and pay 5 grand for a shop to install 2 12w7's and some amps be my guest...
