Wow, after hearing everything about people trying to make a box hold 2-10 inchers in thier regular cab dak, i thought it was impossible. Well i got around to making it. It holds 2 10 inch Xplod subs, and the seat doesnt have to be moved forward(the seat doesnt hit the subs). And it looks GREAT too. The box makes the sound from the rear speakers travel forward, where you can hear it instead of muffling it behind the seat. One problem I faced was the jack/tool holder. It stuck up in the way, so i took out the trust old sledge and beat it flat. Also, there is a ledge that sticks up close to the back that makes the box rock back, so i put 5/8 inch shims under it to steady it. The whole thing is bolted to the floor.
Oh yeah its a 1993.
Heres the dimminsions:
Width: 47.5"
Heighth: 18"
Top Depth: 2.625"
Bottom Depth: 8.5"
I used 3/4 inch partical board and 2" drywall screws. I covered it with trunk carpet from wally world, sealed all the cracks with silicon door/window sealant. The whole project cost (well)under $30.
The entire project toook less than a day to make (with lots of breaks). I hope this helps other people out there tackling the same project. If you hae any questions just email me. Garner5mat@aol.com

I HAVE A 91, AND HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND A BOX. WHAT IS THE DIRECTIONS TO BUILD THE ONE YOU DID. AND ARE YOU SAYING THAT WITH THIS BOX YOU HAVE THE SEAT ALL THE WAY BACK WITH NO PROBLEMS??TY

Also, how deep r those x-plod subs? I have two kicker comp 10's. They r pretty shallow. 4 9/16
