Subject: Cconnecting 2 amp IP: Logged
Message: I have a MTX 4225D powering 2 10" MTX subs. my friend just wrecked his car so he's giving me his subs and amp. he had a lightning audio amp with 2 MB Quart 10" subs. We hooked up everything, I have an output on my amp so I ran RC cables from my ouotput to his input, ran the remote wire from his hook up to mine, grounded his amp, and ran the power cable from his amp to my battery (my amp was already hooked up to battery and reciever andeverything) it was working fine for one night, but the next day, his amp kept turning off, id shut off the truck for 5 minutes and then it would turn on again, and then off again. its in an open area so i dont think its over heating, he never had a problem with it over heating... any sugestions??

Message: You might want to check the ground connection or even try to ground it elsewhere, Watch out for grounding to painted surfaces as it wont be as good. Make sure you have good POS+ connection to the Battery also.
