Just got my 02 QC. I don't think it has the Inifinity because I can't find the logo and it only has 4 speakers. It is the single CD with changer control. No steering wheel controls. So, if per chance I run across a combo unit, Infinity or not, could it be a direct swap? I did it for my mom's 98 Voyager, swapped out the tape for a Mopar combo unit, and it works flawlessly.

I'm asking this just because if I sell in the future, I can take my Alpine system out and go back to stock.

Also, I'm having some confusion switching from tuner to CD. To go from tuner to CD, the mode button works. But to get from CD to tuner, it doesn't, and I have to hit the eject button. Tips? Manual is useless on the subject. Thanks.

Can't help with the interchangability, but I would think if the necessary wiring were there, it would work ok. Or you can run the new wiring easy enough.
To switch from CD to Tuner, isn't there an AM/FM button up near the Seek button (can't verify, the Dak's in the shop right now). I know I switch to Tuner all the time and I don't use the Mode button at all for it.

Now, my question would be, can I add an after-market 6CD changer to the stock HU?

Maybe there are certain adapters that can work with the head unit to accomodate other makes of changers. I know in brother's Acura Integra, he put in an Alpine changer with an adapter. But that was because his unit was manufactured by Alpine, but looks nothing like the head units sold in stores.Unless you want to change the head unit, you might be stuck with whatever brand the automaker uses.
