Message:
I just got done installing my new HU in my
2001 dakota reg cab. Almost. Everything is
working, right side of the dash looks great,
however, the left side of the dash does not
seem to want to fit back in. I looked into this
problem for over and hour now and can't
seem to find out what the problem is. So has
anyone else had this problem with a 2001 + ?
The right side is flush and looks great but the
left just wont go in.

Any help would be great..... Another day or
two and the dash might be broke.

I have a 99,check to make sure the bottom of the dash you put back in,just above the steering wheel,is all the way in,mine has a rubber flap, the flap may not be in all the way,or folded over, keeping the dash from flushing up correctly. If not, make sure the connectors are not bent,on the back of the dash piece you pulled out.good luck,Todd

I have a 2002, and was going to say the same thing. Take it back off, and start over, this time start on the driver side and work your way to the right. Also make sure your snaps are lining up in the holes. Also make sure you don't have anything in the way
