Hey everyone
I just bought 2 brand new kicker comp vr 12's for $180. A friend was behind on a car payment so he gave them to me for cheap. I also bought a Power Akoustic 820 amp. I have them installed in my truck in a double 12" box that has many leaks. Inside he truck the subs pound. You cant hear them all that well outside of the truck unless have my door open. I was wonderig if i need a bigger amp or different box or box's? IM kinda new to al this audio stuff so bear with me.

your not suppose to beable to hear the sound outside the vehicle.. daks are very well sound deadend..
I suggest makin a new box.. leaks suck a$$..LOL

a ported box will in theorey give you +3db....other than that, it's add more power or more cone area.....

very true, joe_himself. With windows shut, the new Daks keep sound in just as well as they keep sound out....:)

RedccDAK00,what u need to do is sell those subs to me for 18 bucks...lol...i'm agreeing with everyone else i have a system its not really loud outside the truck but you can hear it,but inside it will raddle your brains.Sorry bout wensday night i had to leave town early,but if your in town tonight i'll be around FOR SURE and if you don't mind i want to take a look at those subs and amp?later man

Hey man its cool about wednesday night i wasnt there either. My dad wouldnt let me drive down because of the weather. I live way out in the middle of nowhere out on a country road thats real steep and curvy. He was worried about me getting back up it if i did go out, but yeah man i'll be out on rogers tonight.
