Message: Anyone out there know how to figure the cu/ft of space I have in my box?

Message: Ok does it matter that my box has a fron slope to it? I have a top depth of 3" and a bottom depth of 8.5" My box looks something like this:

Message: You need to calculate the area of the figure you drew, and multiply that times the width.
If you do have that part at the bottom that flattens out, the area would be:
(3+8.5)/2*H1 + 8.5*H2
H1 is the height of the back to the point where the slope ends. H2 is the height of the "square" section.

Message: Also dont forget there is a couple other things too.. you have to subtract the width of the material you use to build the box.. so say your usin 3/4 inch mdf.. and your measurments are
10x10x10 then it would be 9 1/4x 9 1/4x 9 1/4,, catch my drift.. then you also have to subtract the airspace the sub is going to take up inside the box.. Ussually you can find this info on the website of the sub manufactureer or in some paper work...
