These are the 6 3/4 speakers that fit best in the Dakota CC. Does anyone own these and have an opinion about the sound quality?

Message: I have the 3-way in the front and the 2 way in the rear. They are clear and crisp. They are running off of deck power(22 rms). I wish I had a amp powering them so I could get some volume out of them to match my thunderform. I am really happy with the speakers. The oversized ring was big enough for the stock holes. I did have to drill new holes tho.
My system
aiwa mp3 player
amped ver. of the thunderform
and the Pioneer speakers
3way front
2way rear

Message: Dude, Do yourself a favor and get a better speaker. The speakers you are talking about are around $120-$130 right? Well, for the same amount of money you could go with Infinity Kappa, 652i, 6-1/2" 2-way speakers. I'm not saying I'm a fan of Infinity but for the money? Yeah they aren't 3-way but will sound way better than those Pioneer's. Just my opinion though.

Message: I just installed Pioneer componants in the front of my CC...They sound great...I was gonna go with Infinities, but didnt want to run another amp(already have one for the subs)...These match up with my kenwood head unit pretty well....Remember, its not how much you spend or how many watts the speaks are rated at, but how well everything works together..

Message: I Just Installed Pioneer 3 Way's (180w)6 1/2 - 6 3/4 In The Doors ($58.00 on E-Bay) And Infiniti Kappa's 6 1/2 2 Ways (55w ??)In The Rear ($87.00 E-Bay) Yea Ya Gotta Drill Some Holes In The Back, But I Don't Know, The 2 Way Kappa's Blow Away The Pioneer's For Sound Quality (Mabe Because There Mounted Higher) But I'm Glad I Put The Kappa's In The Rear...(Big Advantage Over The Stock Speakers With A Stock Radio). Next I'll Be Installing The Awia MP32 Deck I Bought Myself For X-Mass And Mabe Crossovers & Tweeters For The Doors (To Get The Sound Out Of My Knees.

Message: Turn the rear speakers down (adjust your fader) to bring the sound back up front.
Even the factory rear speakers will over power any front speaker, because they are so close to your head.

2-way pioneer 5x7 in the rear
gettin ready to install 2 pioneer 10s in a sealed box.
the reason i have all pioneer, is b/c i get all my stuff whole-sale. good deal huh, cheaper than e-bay or n e ther place. so, my opinion, Pioneer is a good company, and im not just sayin that b/c i get it cheap either. they're good for the $$$, at least from my pespective. Everything sounds really good, but will sound better when i add my 10's

Message: Yea... What i noticed is that if you go w/ a component speaker the 3/4" tweeter fits perfect right next to the side mirrors, and there is even a cutout diagram on the back of the pannel that is a perfect size for the housing. Also... is anyone having trouble finding a place to put an amp, I have a fosgate 360a2 powering the thunderform under the drivers seat, but i want to try to fit a fosgate 600a4 under the passanger seat, but im having no luck doing so... there isn't enough room, ( bench seat). BTW you always want to put your best speakers up front... I've had great luck with the Fosgater FNX2614's they are a 6 3/4" speaker with a great looking crossover, you can get them on ebay for around 130 and retail for about 299... If has any luck fitting amps under there seat, please post a reply here... tell me if u have to modify the seat and what not.. THANKS!

Message: I'm running the Pioneer 2-ways all around. I've had them almost as long as I've had the truck (about 2 years). I've been very happy with them. They sound very good and they fit great.
Yes, I, too am having problems finding places to put an amp. You can fit a medium-sized amp under the passenger's seat. (I can't fit anything under my driver's seat because I have the power seat -- no room under there). I tried taking out the tool tray in the back, but there really isn't that much space under their either... Plus it would look pretty crappy. I'm thinking that I will probably go with two small Pioneer amps to drive the main speakers (probably a 40x2 or a 60x2). Those will fit just about anywhere, including probably behind the passenger's side kick panel. Two of the 60x2's and probably three of the 40x2's will fit under the rear seat on the larger side (driver's side). The only thing you need to do in order to get a little more space under the rear seat is put something (a painted piece of wood would do just fine, or you could carpet over the whole thing) between the tool tray and the front bottom of the seat in order to space it up a little bit. Right now I'm running a Pioneer DEH-P7000R head unit (love it... I wish they made the same one with mp3 support!) through the infinity amp that comes with the upgraded audio system. It sounds alright, but definitely not wonderful. I really hate Blaupunkt stuff, but they've got a 75x2 amp that is like a 7"x7" cube and only about 2.5" high. Still has very low THD and good range. I might have to try one and see how it works. Maybe they will surprise me after all.
