Need some advice on an install. I already have a good deck, subs, sub amp. My questions are with mids. I have an 02 RC Dakota. Got Polk 2 ways in the door, Blaupunkt 2 ways in the back, and cheap (Jensen) tweets. I have a concord amp pushing my mids. rated at 50x2 RMS, although I dont know if its still pushing that. I got this amp about 11 years ago. I was thinking about getting the q-forms and putting my back speakers in the q-form becuase with my subs, I just cant hear them back there. Was going to get a decent 4 channel amp to push all this. Cost for the q-forms and the amp...roughly $350. Would I be better off with getting a decent component set to go in the doors and push it with a decent 2 channel amp? I am not looking for the best here guys. I saw a pair of Blaupunkt 6 1/2 components with 1/2 tweets and x-overs in crutchfield for like $70. pair that with a decent 2 channel amp, I would be saving about $100 or so. My concerns is if only one 6 1/2 and tweet will put out much more sound than I currently have. Any suggestions, opinions? I would like to use my mids I already got if possible. Maybe just a decent 4 channel amp to push them all and a good pair of tweets? or would I be wasting my time with a 4 channel hooked to the speakers in the back since I cant hear them anyway cause of my sub boxes?

Components will be louder and have a better overall sound but by going from polk coaxals to blaupunkt components I don't think you'll be gaining much. For starters the midbass driver won't deliver the low sounds your looking for and the tweeter is small and won't produce much volume without distortion. I would put a component set in the door for starters. Go ahead and use a 4 channel amp with 2 channels powering them and then wait a while and put the Q forms and another component set in later.

Thanks BIGTYMER I just found out from Qlogic that they dont make the Qforms for my Dak.... I think what I will do is keep my speakers for now and try the other amp. Will get a good set of tweets to round it out. I also got a pair of Blaupunkt 3 1/2s that I am looking into running off the deck and mounting in the kick panels where the Qforms would go. I will have to do some cutting but I think I can make them fit.
So I will run a fronts, rears, and a good set of tweets off the amp, and the 3 1/2s off the deck. got two 10's for low end.
