Depends on what year ram, the radios in the newer dakotas (mines a 2001)have rounded corners, not sure on all rams (my boss has a 97) his radio has square corners. The 01 dakota radio sits flush in the dash while the 97 ram sits recessed and has a faceplate that surrounds the radio. as for the plugs not sure.
