Message: I am think about getting the Aiwa mp32. It has a fold down feature to prevent theft. Does anyone know if the faceplace is detachable, or does it just fold down? I want something that can be removed. Thanks for any info.

Message: It has a lot of features and can play CD-RWs (MP3), it's cheap, cool security feature, it an Aiwa.
The pre-amp is only 2.2 volts, it requires a lot of debth to mount the thing, below average signal to noise ratio, changer does not play CDRWs it's an Aiwa.

Message: R/Truck, did you notice a big sound difference going to the Aiwa from the stock deck? I have the infinity (stock) speakers and a sub.

Check out Kenwood, it is basically the same deck but better.

Message: I have the Kenwood flip down, and the face is detachable...when it flips into the horizontal position, it can be slid off...Also, Ive always been a fan of Kenwood products..(at least stereos and amps) and Im not too sure I would choose an Aiwa over a Kenwood...Maybe thats just me being biased...take it for what its worth

Message: I have the aiwa. I am really impressed with this deck. Then again my expectations was not that high being aiwa. The rms rating is a little better and it runs the 4 speakers pretty good. I do need a amp for those speakers to get enough power to equalize the thunderform. But it isa good little deck. I would consider aiwa again with a car deck. As for Kenwood. This was my expirence. I had one bad deck. It had a problem with the eject mechinism with the cd. It was in the shop constantly. One bad apple spoiled it for me. I know it probally is a better deck. But I am a little weary now.

Message: Aiwa makes AWESOME portable home stereos, so I'm sure some of that has to reflect their car decks. I'm in the same boat as y22man, I had a Sony MiniDisc deck and other components that gave me lots of proplems and it ruined my like for most Sony car audio products. So now its time to give Aiwa a shot!

Message: I have the Aiwa32 MP3 player for about 2 years and it works great except for the magic-flap that has been getting stuck in the closed position when I turn the car on. This really sucks because you can't control anything when its in this position. Basically I have to tap and hit it several times to make the magic-flap open. Does anyone know how I can disable the security feature so the magic-flap stays in the open, unsecure position all the time but the radio turns off when I turn the car off.
Thanks,
-Sunay

Message: This deck is horrible!! I've had it for literally one year and eight days!! How do I know that? Well, it broke down on me at about the 9 month range. Because I was with in the one year manufacturer's warranty, Circuit City, fixed it for free. Great! Worked like new, but, then again at the 12 month and 5 day mark, it broke down again! I went in to Circuit City again, and they said, OH NO, you're a week past your warranty, we can't do anything for free. I found out it would cost over $50 to fix at least, and I only purchased it for $90! NO Thank You! Plus, this deck skipped like crazy even when I had it! at least twice every 15 mins! But, on the plus side, it's REALLY flashy! I got a lot of cool head turns and stuff from people! But steer clear!
