Hey i was wondering what I could do to hook up an external amp considering I have no RCA outlets on the stock head unit. I want to use the stock head unit. any help would be appreciated

also I have 1 kicker comp vr 12". I dont know the watt rating because it doesn't say. i was wondering what size amp to run with that speaker.

either run a line out converter which turns signals from speaker wires that you run from a set of speakers into rca's,,, OR if you amp can accept speaker level inputs, like JBL amps do, i have this setup in my truck and it works great. You just tap into your rear speakers, just like if you were hooking up a line out converter and run them to the amp instead, run a power, ground, and remote turn on and your set. A 12 kicker comp vr prolly handles 300-500rms. You could pick up a jbl 300.1 for under 200 dollars new and it would pump that sub nice.

i spliced after the amp, right at the rear speakers in the back.

i want to do the same thing. my question is.
the infinity has 8 speakers right? when you splice into the 2 rear speakers to go to your line out converter to the RCAs. can you still use the speakers you spliced into? or do you have to eliminate them? making it 6 speakers + your amp and subs....instead of 8 speaker+ amp and subs.

kovzR6,if you splice into the rear or front speakers you can still use them,i spliced into the front ones in the doors.
