 Subject: installing a cd player

The cd player has a sleeve it slides into. Do you have to bolt the sleeve or cd down. I have a kit that I bought. It is an installation kit. It looks like the cd sleeve is held on just in the front. It doesn't look right . You must need more support. It looks only like a trim kit.I have a 93 dakota.

Once you slide the CD sleeve into the dash you will have to bend the tabs over all the way around to hold the sleeve in. Your CD player should come with 2 keys to release it so you can pull it out.The tabs all are triangular and hold the sleeve inside the dash.
