them too, and I searched the web and found nothing on
them at all. The only thing I could find was one review
that said that the volfenhag amp he bought was major
crap.. Thats all, they look high quality, but I dont think I
could trust a brand where there is no information about
them..

Message: Save your money and buy an Adire Audio Shiva. It's around 115 and it's THE best sub you can buy for the money. Dan Wiggins the owner, is an awsome guy who knows his sh1t. Showed up Audiomobile a time or two also. The Shiva is no sh1tty throw down sub either, ask any home audio DIYer and they'll tell ya all about them.
I know someone who has a set of those Volfs and my one Shiva out pounds it, is faster and plays to a lower freq.
If you decide to go with the Adire Audio Tempest ($150), you can easily hit 140s with one sub and it'll still be playing a nice range.
Only problem with the Shiva is it is efficient, so it likes space.

Message: I am also trying to acquire a pair of 10 Inch Volfenhag and i have been looking online for any reviews about them and I havent been able to find anything until now. I have not read anything here that helps me to finalize my decision apart from blackquad01. Is a 2 channel 800W Volfenhag Amp good to go with a pair of 10 inch Volfenhag Subs ( 600W's each). I will still search online b4 I invest my money.

Message: hey i bought 2 volfeghans subs last yr. they are 12 inch and read 1000watts max each. i put them in really tiny truck boxes and behind the seats in my 97 RC. im 6'4 so legroom was a problem, now im building a custom center console that will house one of the subs firing towards the rear and the box will extend all the way to the front and it will house my amp and my shifter(it will be raised to give the impression of a short throw) the other sub il sell- for price reply to this post. check out my page http://www.cardomain.com/id/v8blakdak

Message: xplikt is right the Adire's are amazing subs. the only thing I might take over them with staying under $200 is the Element Designs. For a little extra cash you can go with a Resonant Engineering too and really get some sound

Message: I have a 96 yukon gt, and i bought two volfenhag 15's in a sealed box, with a 1900 watt boss amp. I love the sub's, and they hit extremely hard. dual voice coil, 1200 watts max a piece, friends love them, triple thick-no distortion, cone wont break, good looking subs, volfenhag's are all around great subs.... i would only take JL's or Cerwin Vega's over volfenhag..

Message: My friend bought a pair of these
http://www.woofersetc.com/product.asp?0=487&1=489&3=1585
red 1000W subs for his Escape, with one of the 1600W 2 channel amps.
http://www.woofersetc.com/product.asp?0=487&1=488&3=402
At first i made fun of him, and told him he got ripped off, well... i had to eat my own words, he put them in a sealed box at 1.25 cubic feet and bridged the amp... SHEEEIIITTT!! It wasn't anything that would win a competition, but for a $74 woofer and a $150 amp, it hit tight and hard, and was CLEAN. I have a pair of 12W3V2 JL's and I love them, but there's a big difference between $175 a piece for mine, and $75 a piece for his. Anyway, i'd reccomend them for a good sub in that price range. If you get the amp, don't get the red one though, ask for a chrome one, the red looks cheesy.

Message: I'm a big fan of Volfenhag myself. I was VERY skeptical at first when they originally started showing up on Ebay. The only reason I purchased them at first was because of the beauty of them and that the Red subs matched the color of my car perfectly so it made for a very impressive custom stereo install. I'm running my entire low end on volfenhag. 2 12s and the 1000W Chrome ZX7170 Amp. You can take a look at my car and the complete install at http://www.cardomain.com/id/sage69
For the money, you can't go wrong! They hit really hard and deep. They aren't designed for an specific one type of box so you can make them sound good in any kind of enclosure.

Message: Yeah, the Volfenhag stuff is the best bang for the buck. I would have suggested the Rockford Fosgate 500S, but check out the specs here
http://www.woofersetc.com/product.asp?=0&1=0&3=151
it's only 250 watts per channel RMS, and Fosgate quality isn't near what it used to be, I bet with the fan that 1600 watt amp has, it'll heat up half as much as the rockford. If the Volfenhag is only $150, and these guys are authorized dealers, definitely go for one or two of these.

Next someone's gonna try and tell me that Zapco amps are better than the Craco that's on sale at K-Mart.

Message: Ihad two 12" volfenhags and they were each in a 1 cubic foot box mounted with the magnet out in a 91 maxima and WHOA!!!These things definately pound like they were 15's.Nobody believed in them but I gave them a try and they have never let me down.I use a M.A. Audio amp rated at 1000watts rms. They kick butt.So far I have blown 2 pairs of 500watt rms Audiobahns, and two kickers but not the volfenhags, and yes its the same amp! Now Ive sold the 2 12's BUT, only to step up to the 15's!!! They are on their way to me as I post this.I just dont know what size box to put them in.Hope this helps.
