Message: Well all i know is i have 2 15's Hooked up to a 2,400 watt Volf amp in a large sealed box in the trunk of a large car and they Frickin pound and i mean hard with alot of pressure too. If it wasnt such a tough car it most likely would have came apart by now from the pressure and im not kidding. They sound better everytime i use them and break them in more. They are in a sealed divided large 3-1/4 inch particle board box with 3.5 qubic feet on each side. I guess people that dont know how to hook up equipment will tell you they are bad. I have spent to much money on name brand stereo euipment only to have it perform less than what i have now at alot less of the cost.

Message: I've been playing around with the 12" 1000w volfs for a few years now and would like to add to all the good reviews as far as the subs go. I started out with two of them and a 1200w blue lightning series amp. The amps are good while they last but you had better baby them...one wrong bump and they're toast. I now have them hooked up to two old school punch 75.2s in a sealed box and my wife can't breathe when I turn it up! Did I mention that I had to replace my trunk lid a couple months ago because they blew it off the hinges? They get my vote any day!

Message: Been using 2 Volfenhag 1247dvx 12's for a couple years now. No issues and pound hard. Bought used for cheap. Awesome sub for the price. Currently in a 3.3ft box tuned to 26Hz large slot port. Powered by a memphis pr1 x1000 at 1 ohm 1000w rms. Subsonic filter set to 25hz and never driven into clipping. These will run great in a vented box but don't run em vented without a subsonic filter set at your box tuning frequency (as with ANY sub in a vented box) One thing I don't see mentioned here is these have a rubber surround instead of foam. As much as I like JL's they and a lot of the other main name brand subs makers have screwed up by using foam for surround material instead of rubber. I've replaced lots of them! Especially JL's and RF's.
