 Subject: CD PLAYER SKIPS ON BURNED CDS!!!

the cd player in my truck is able to play cd-rs, and has been for a while, but latley, the cds ive been makin, skip in the player, and play fine in other cd players, would it be the name brand of the cd, the cd player in my truck, or the cd recorder? ne help onthis would be great. o, and this all just started when i put in my 2 pioneer tens, at 1st, i had the amp bridged, and it kept blowin fuses, and was pullin too much power from the batt, (i had to use 8 ga. wire b/c my old 4 ga wasnt long enough) so, i un-bridged the amp, and all is fine, but the cd player is still skippin, on older CDs and bought ones it plays fine, but now it skips, i also tried usin the CD lense cleaner with no avail, so, should i skip the factory power wire and wire it straight to the batt with a 10 amp fuse? or is the ne thing else i can try?

Could be the brand of the cds.. because my player does that.. plays some fine and other not so good at all.. and also how many cds have your burner done.. the more you do the less quaility i guess you could say it burns at.. and besides could be just your cdplayers lens.. it could be dirty.. try cleaning again..
as far as running power right from the batt.. that shouldnt really matter in if your cdplayer is skipping or not.. so i wouldnt waste my time doing that.. .. or maybe its just time for a new HU.. lol anyways my 2 cents..

aight man, ill try a different brand, so, power isnt a problem huh, do i need to burn at a lower speed maybe? well, i aprecciate your info, and try a few different things, i tried the cleaning again and it didnt help, so i geuss ill just play it for the time being from my cd changer, ne way, ttyl L8ER!

You can try to burn at a slower speed it may help.. does the cds play fine in your changer.. just your main hu it skips?

right only my hu skips, i got the eminem soundtrack 8 mile today, and it played fine, so i dunno...........
