Message: Hey midnight, how do you like those type R's? it's real funny cuz actually i'm in the process of putting 4 10" type R's in myself. My crossfire's were in a ported box, and I want the transient response of a sealed. but I also wanted more SPL, and I hope my 4 10's will give me more. I would love to stick with BMF's, but with their voice coil design I couldn't get 4 because I don't want to change amps.

Message: Well KU40,my opinion they are better than the crossfire BMF, my 12's are 1000 watts max and i talked to guys pushing 1200 watts to them with no problems at all i have mine in ported boxes with 2 12's sharing 1 port so i guess when i put them in a sealed box like there suposed to be they should sound 10 times better, but i would highly recomend them i love mine,i'm in the process of biulding a box biuld to the specs. of the subs.one more thing about the way they hit, back when i had 2 of them, when i turned it all the way up it kinda looked like the quarter windows were gonna bust out and i also thought that cars where the only ones that ratled from bass, but when you get 4 10's it i think you will like them more than your crossfires and it will be more than enough bass for you...lol...anything else you wanna know just lemme know

Message: Thanks for the response. You really like them more than the BMF's? wow, now I really can't wait to put them in. I just hope my box won't be too big (about 1 cube per sub before displacement, but I might put in some more bracing, so that'll help). I'm even getting some plexiglass so my neons can shine inside the box. so it'll be louder and look better.

Message: OK, I'll try to get some put up on my sounddomain page. It won't be until spring break probably, though, because I'm here at school. but maybe if I go back some weekend I can get it all put in. Oh, btw, I don't actually have a dakota. I stumbled onto this site through yahoo when I was looking for something. Hence the reason this post was dug up from two months ago.

Message: Dak is retarded. And i am also pretty sure no one is runnin a US Amps 4000X without extra batteries and massive alternator. Jbl 1200.1 is rated 1157watts @ 12.7 volts and 1326watts at 14.7volts. Also, they arn't any 250 dollars or anything like that unless you get them directly from JBL in which case, you are correct. I used to run a large amount of JBL stuff in my 02 nissan frontier. 6 JBL 10's, 2 1200.1, GTi 6.5" set, and a 180.2 <360watts>. Currently i run 1 RE 15", 2 MMats D300HC's modded and a JBL180.2. so if i add it up i'm about .... 2000+2000+360=4360watts. On aftermarket Optima battery and dying stock altenator. I also have a Cap. I havent heard of 1 sub ever hitting a 170+ number. I do DB Drag events all over the place and just placed at SBN 4th place in IDBL. All legal. I can do a 172.9 with 1 15. If the mic is in the vent at the bottom. But there is the difference. Legal vs "bo-bo" outlaw style. I think alot of ppl like to sound like they have stuff they dont. BTW Brahma's are friggin awesome. DD's are too. Legacy and lanzar are garbage. Overratin their stuff to holy hell. BTW i wouldn't ever use anything but ought gauge on an install, but that is me. Ought then a distrobe, then the biggest gauge to each amp it'll hold. MMats hold 4. Have fun arguein kids. I still think some peoples claims of SPL numbers are retarded. Some things just aren't possible according to physics. Thermodynamics is where its at.

Message: 12,000 Watts...
Not in my truck though, lol. All I have in my truck right now is a TV.
In my van I have 8 Ample Audio 1500 watts amps, I run them to 2 Shocker Audio 18inch Signature Series woofers. I have 6 8 volt batteries running in series to give me a 16 volt system.
The guy who said "you would need 3 alternators and 3 batteries in a row, bla bla bla" is 100% incorrect. I am a avid dB Drag competitor (2 world finals, 35+ shows...) If you have a 12 volt electrical system you can charge alot of batteries off the stock alt, for example, I used 8 12 volts before I upgraded to 16 volts and I had no problem keeping them tended to about 15 with the stock alternator, obviously it would be alot better with a better alt. but it is not a must.
More batteries is better then more alternators.
