Message: tweets are not overpowering in my opinion my kappa's were a lot louder. honestly I have bostons all around and I had there competitor subs. the subs suck and I'm not highly impressed with the mids. I would go mb quartz. the boston just don't get that loud. but then again I could be going deaf.

Damn-it now what??

Message: Don't do it!!
When I first got my DAK I installed Boston Pro Series Comps, let me tell you the midbass is weak and the tweeters are extremely harsh. To top that off there over priced.
I now have Rainbow Pro Comps and love them to death.
A couple other brands I reccomend are Focal,CDT,A/D/S

Message: these guys are correct.. the mids really aren't that loud. (but if you turn down the bass a little and turn up the volume there's plenty for my reg. cab truck with 4 bostons and 2 10's) i have my tweets mounted axially on the speaker(just like a 2-way)

Message: i like my bostons. there is ALMOST enough mid with just the 2 front speakers on. adding the rears back in balanced it out. the sound quality is awsome. i've never actually heard MB Quartz, but if i didn't go with boston that's who i would've gone with by reputation alone. MB Quartz supposedly makes DAMN good components.

Message: actually my bostons will have a farely loud tweeter when my amp is turned up loud enough but then the crossover tends to do something funky and the tweets cut out.
