I have a 2000 CC Slt with the Infinity CD/Tape. I went ot put a aftermarket cd player in and I got power but no sound. I used a wiring harness and I know the cdplayer is good and it works fine with the factory but, the factory is to dam senitive. So what Is the prob? Is it the amp isnt compatable or what? Need help on the situation.

Probably what happened was you forgot to
hook up the Amp-turn on lead. Its the blue wire on the aftermarket radio and on the Amp...ummm I forget what color it is?...someone help me out!

After you get that hooked up you should be good to go.

Your 2000 should have the two 7-pin connectors, the turn-on lead should be pin 7 of the black connector.

Richard,
There is a black wire on the old harness with a plastic slide connector on it that has to be connected, I had the same problem on my '01 when installing an aftermarket CD player...power but no sound....the black wire controls the factory amp's ground. I't should be tied into the other ground wires on the harness. I got my info from Crutchfield's 800 number.
