Subject: Loud Exhaust IP: Logged
Message: I bought my 99 Dakota R/T this past December and it already has a FLOWMASTER exhaust on it. I love the sound when I start off or am riding around town, but when I'm cruising at 55-65 it is loud enough to make it hard to hear on my Cell Phone Headset. I know, shouldn't be talking on the phone when driving anyway, but I'm not the only one who does it. My question is: Is there a way to quiet down the exhaust system without loosing the great sound when idling or cruising a lower speeds?

Message: some people have used sound deadening insulation in their cabs.
it makes it quiet inside and stays loud outside, I like to hear my pig grunt though
