 Subject: pcm or emission problems for 4.7L owners

To all 4.7L owners. If you are having any pcm problems or emission problems, the dealership will replace your pcm or emission equipment up to 8yr/80,000 miles. My engine light came on and i got read. It was saying it had a internal memory error, so the dealership replaced it under warranty today. Just thought i would you know!!!

That's the federal emissions warranty that covers all vehicles, not just the 4.7. Covers everything emissions related back to the cat, except for wear items like spark plugs / air filters. I got a cracked y-pipe replaced under that many years ago, it was a nice surprise.

I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota 4X4 with 72,240 miles that just recently the catalytic Converter went bad on me. Went to get the part and nobody has it except for Dodge and they want $1200.00 for it not installed, which is a 4th of this trucks value. Just over 8 years old and low mileage and Dodge will not help me with it. This will be the last Chrysler product I will ever own.

You can buy an aftermarket catcon for much cheaper than that.

Daddio I am in West Virginia and I tried NAPA, Advance Auto and Autozone. Could not find the part. The reason being is this truck has CA emissions on it was what I was told.

Skitter I know about the warranty it is for 8 yrs OR 80,000 miles. My truck is just over 8 years and has only 72,263 miles on it. Thats why I'm just alittle ticked that Dodge won't help me in anyway at all with this. I e-mailed them twice and got a call once saying there was nothing they could do. I'm on my own

"Aftermarket" not an O.E.M. replacement. I bet if
you go to your local muffler shop they'll hook you
up with an adequate replacement.
Search the web. Ever hear of Magnaflow?
If you don't live in California, who says you have
to have the Cali catcon? quick search for your truck
gave me anything from Cali certified @ $650 to a
universal for $175.
