ok i go to start up my truck tonite before work...and theres a strange swishing noise right after it fires up...kinda like water trickling down pvc pipe in a wall...i heard it when i started it coming it after work too...what is it...

I have always heard a "watery" noise after I stop my engine. I just think it is the A/C making the noises.

I had a similar type of noise when I turned my truck off and I checked my coolant level in the overflow and found it was too low.

mine has always made noises after i turn it off...but now its doing it when i crank it up and its scaring me...

have the wife stick her head under the hood next time you start it ( that is not what i was thinking ) and maybe she can tell where it is coming from.

Same thing just started happening to me at start up. Sounds like a coffee pot brewing behind the dash. Not sure what it is yet. It does go away after the engine warms up.
