Subject: Dual exhaust, 4.7??? IP: Logged
Message: I am the proud owner of a 2000 4.7 4x4 extended cab Dak... I'm wondering if there are any manufacturers currently making dual exhaust setups for my truck.(Either true dual or a Y-pipe setup) I've noticed that manufacturers make all sorts of performance parts for the 5.9 and the 5.2 motors, why not the 4.7???

Message: I don't think u will find anybody building True Dual Setups for shipping, but any fairly good exhaust shop will be happy to fabricate a set for you, that's what I did.
They do make a Flowmaster Series that is Single in and Dual out that u can buy.

Message: Hey i am thinking of doing the same thing with my 4.7L. I hacked the muffler off and love the rumble. So i went to two exhaust shops and was quoted at between 300 and 400 bucks for just pipes and installation( no muffler). That seems a bit pricey to me so ill be trying to put a homemade exhaust on this weekend. How much have you guys paid for dual exhaust setups?

Message: The independent muffler shop that did my '01 4.7 installed a Flowmaster 70 single in/ dual out with stainless tips for $300.
