Message: I have had problems with certain inspection stations failing my car, which proved to be very clean at other stations. They are having problems here with the software profile, but are still using it anyway.

Message: Frank, depending on what you have, there may be a problem. I went to a Dodge dealership and they would not even drive my truck into the inspection station because it had a flowmaster cat-back on it. They said it was too loud. I thought that was absurd (I have several friends running straight pipes). Since then I have been taking my truck to a gas station garage (the guys there are nice and respectable) and I have no problems whatsoever. I only have simple mods...cold air intake, IAT adjuster, flowmaster cat-back, 3923 autolite plugs, taylow spiro-pro wires, tb spacer, 180 degree thermo. One thing is to make sure the check engine light is not on, and if your computer was reset make sure you put a few hundred miles on it so that it will be in a ready status for the OBDII machine.

Message: Frank, no mods at all to my car or my truck. I always got it inspected in Mansfield, until I found that the kid who did it last jacked it up with a floor jack, without looking underneath, and put it under the floorpan instead of the subframe, denting it. I always got great numbers there. So I went to a place in Raynham, who failed it for NOx. I went back with the paperwork saying I did MAP sensor and EGR (which I didn't), and they passed it. But I smelled hydrocarbons in the interior when I picked it up, making me think they shot something in the intake to make it pass. Since I went to the same place, 2nd inspection was free. But they were high on NOx for my truck, too, right after a full tuneup (first time, no numbers to compare). I'm going to a different place next time.

Message: Frank, you should have no problems as long as your OBDII is in "ready" mode. Northborough, MA
