Subject: Champion Plugs? IP: Logged
Message: I was checking out the plugs currently in my truck. They are Champion #4071. Anyone know anything about these? They are supposed to be some sort of specialty truck plug, or at least that is what I was told when I installed them. Also, the are a little black up around the threads, but the tip is brown. Is this normal?

Message: Are these decent plugs. I have run them for about 20,000 miles. They still look great, and the gap is just about the same as when they were installed. Would I be better switching to the 3923's? I am looking to get a little more hp and torque out of the truck, but mostly I want to get rid of the darn 3.9l ping.
