i was under my truck yesterday checking on my tranny, and i noticed on the tail end, on the drivers side, there is a electrical connection, but nothing is plugged into it. anybody know what its for.(recently had tranny rebuilt)
also, it seems like there is a lot of play in the tranny/engine, i can grab the tail end and wiggle it quite easily from side to side. isn't it supposed to be more rigid? i'm noticing knocking sounds when i accelerate/decelerate/turn, that i assume are my ball joints, but now wondering if the engine/tranny is shifting too much side to side...

sorry, it's an 02'...and it's the furthest electrical connection back towards the tail, on the drivers side...
i have an auto tranny also...

mu 98 dak's tranny can move a little bit because of the rubber isolater that its mounted on. thats probaably the play you can feel the knocking sounds might be universal joints. does it vibrate any while drving (more so when getting on the gas)? if so its probably your u-joints

thanks Dan, if its not my tranny thea its gotta be my ball joints...
can somebody with a 02' dak w/auto tranny please look under your truck and tell me if there is anything plugged into the connection that i described above?
