I have read all the archived messages I could find but have a few questions....I was given a 93 Dakota sport 4x4 with the v6....I am going to use the truck for towing and don't want to be slowed down over the hills. I bought a low milage v8 out of a 98 Jeep Grand cherokee. It looks like the easiest thing to do is to convert is back to OBD1 so that I still have full use of all my instrument cluster and transmission/transfer case. I need to know if the stock exhaust header pipes are the same on the v6/v8 and if there are any other little things I should be forwarned about....
My truck is a 93 with 5sp and 4x4. Some of the parts I know I already need are Oil pan, flywheel, exhaust headers, engine management/harness (OBD1).
