Message: Would a limited slip diff from a 2002 dak fit in the rear of a 2000 dak? What is needed extra to swap from a regular 4X2 one wheel drive to a LSD? Do you have to get new axles. Are the ring and pinion gears enclosed inside the LSD housing. Please be kind, I know these are probably no brainers but the only stupid question is the one not asked someone once said. Thanks

Message: The only difference is the carrier. I think at some point they changed the spline count on the axles so the carriers might not swap. Check with a dealer.

Message: I just called my dealer's parts department and they said that the part # for the case on a 2000 is the same as the part # for the 2002. They didnt tell me much more but I think this indicates it should work, aye?
