 Subject: Are these fms injectors correct?

I have a friend that gave me some ford injectors. They were supposed to have came from a V8 mustang. They have ford marked on the side, they are yellow and gray, are made by DENSO, and the part# is F1ZE-C2A. I am putting them in a V6 1997 Dakota. Does anyone know if these will work?

I put FOTE-D5A in mine. When you look at the end, in the one nozzle, do you see 6 tiny pin holes???

No, I see one pin in the middle that sticks up about a 1/16 or so that is it. The pin has a wider shape to the end of it.

Them are not the ones they suggest on this board.
Try finding around a 96-97 ford 4.6l engine from a f150, mustang, crown vic, they will have the injectors they recommend on this board.

I had some wrong ones at first. It ran, worse that is. Prob run, just wont give you the better mpg, and smoother idle.

I did a little research, and I think they are from a 1995 Cobra or GT mustang 5.0). Has anyone tried this type? They were free!!!

I e-mailed fiveomotorsports and Bruce said the Denso Ford injectors are 19 lbs/hr, the same as a Bosh injector they use for their Dakota replacements. I am confused now because I don't see the four or six holes in the end of the injector like Dale said. Also on the fiveo site, it lists the 96-03 4.6l motor to use 21# injectors, Dale said to use injectors from those years???? Anyone got any ideas.

The ones I got came from a 97 ford crown vic. I pulled a spair one out and looked at it again. In the tip (thats one big hole) it has 4 little holes in a aluminum/stainless looking piece of steal (tryed taking pic, didnt come out). I bought mine at a salvage yard as the ones on ebay were going for more then I can afford. Mustang/crown vic/f150 use the same injectors, I belive they are rated at 19lbs, I guess I am wrong somewhere, so I am confusing you, I am sorry, and will shut up.
This is the only set I see on ebay right now, and dont list the car they came from, nor show a pic.

Well I don't know Dale. I really thank you for your help. I am not sure if anyone knows what they are putting in, and im not sure if it really makes a difference. From what I can dig up, Ford used a lot of different kinds and different manufacturers of injectors in their mustangs even between the GT's and Cobras with v8's. Anyway, did changing them help your truck out? I might give these a try, but they do seem to be different than yours. I will let you know how it turns out.

I did some other mods at the same time, So I don't know what really helped. Everyone claimed about 1 more mpg, and smother idle, not extra power.
I did search after I posted that, the mustangs are rated between 215-235hp, and thru the injector formula, that should make them either 17 or 19lb injectors. Do the formula on the dodge, and they need to be 19lb.
I do know for a fact, the GT and Cobra run diff injectors, the cobra runs like 24lb ones, that is NOT what you seak.

I just received my 19# FMS injectors from summit. The part number, FMS-M9593C302, is the one everyone has been suggesting to get. The actual injectors are the Denso/Ford F1ZE-C2A also. I haven't installed them yet, so not sure about the performance.
