 Subject: 92V6 Wireplacement on dist Cap

92 Dakota, 3.9 L V6.
Put on new pickup,cap,rotor. Then Lost ignition wire order placement on cap. Distrbor has not been moved. Fire order = 654321 clockwise. Passengr side bank = 246 Drvr side = 135.
Suggestions on getting corect wire placement on dist. cap ?

Does the dist cap have a marking molded into it for #1?
If not, crank or turn engine by hand to find the timing mark for TDC. You'll be at either cyl 1 or 4, so the rotor will point to either 1 or 4. From there you can either remove a plug and feel for the compression puff, or remove a valve cover and watch the valve action to see when you're at TDC for #1.
