ok i saw an add for this thing last night when i
was watchign speedvision. does anyone have any
experience with this thing or anythign similar.
cause it looks kinda cool. but why buy somethin
that sucks like a TB spacer.(learned that the hard
way)

How does it measure horsepower when it's only plugged into a cigarette lighter? Is it accurate? I thought about buying one as well.

It's an accelerometer, similar to the G-meter on a fighter plane.
It estimates your 0-60, 1/4 mile, and 60-0 time and distance by averaging acceleration over time.
I believe it estimates HP by the user inputing vehicle weight, then, computing it against an acceleration constant.

That's cool, Bernd! It says that it's not available until the winter of 2002. Do you have a demo unit? Any idea what the pricing will be? I'd imagine that it'd be over $200 easily.
