I have replaced the battery.My truck still chatters with no start.If i place positive cable to the post out of fuse box,neg to good grnd,truck starts.

im thinking chattering you mean like a clicking real fast then that would be starter silinoid. just a thought... could also be a bad relay in the starter circuit
