I have a 2000 dodge dakota. exc cab. 4x4 3.9l 5 speed. and want to lift it but there is nothing for the dakota 5 speed. besides body lift. if i do the body lift i will need to get the hurst short throw shifter as well cause the lift will mess up the throw. when you do the body lift can you tell its body lifted if you get gap guards. i was thinking the reciever below the bumper would be to low. and the exhaust will look to low to. any help be appreciated i really want to lift it but want to c if it looks alright body lifted.

I got an 02 that i put a 3 inch p/a body lift on without gap guards, and it looks pretty good. Yeah the receiver hitch hangs down kinda low but it doesnt look dumb. I am really impressed on how it looks with the lift. Looks good with the bigger M/T tires i put on it.

No i dont have any pics but i could definately get u some. Im running 265/75/16 Interco Trxus M/T Tires. I never really noticed much of a difference in the ride, A little rougher, but that is to be expected. It was rather easy to install, Me and a buddy did it in 5 hours. No special tools. Socket set, floor jack and a few beers. It was the first one i had ever installed and i was suprised how easy it was. Well worth it in my opinion.
