Message: thats kinda depends on a couple of things. my '00 QC 3.9 5spd 4x2 w/ 76k has gotten 24mpg on the hwy. commuting i average around 20-21.
4x4 3.9 auto QC in good shape, probably about 20 hwy with proper tune, tires inflated correctly, good alignment and a light foot.

Message: almost forgot. if you've already bought the truck don't expect any kind of performance. a QC 4x4 3.9 auto is a slug. i wouldn't want a QC 3.9 with an auto. especially 4x4. that is one heavy truck.

Message: Yep, 5sp helps get the most MPG and power to the ground!! Will thiner tires help get MPG on the highway. Stock size seem like sand tires with wide footprint and too much friction!
