 Subject: timing chain

i just need to know how hard it is to replace the timing chain in a 93, v6 mag. also a mechanic freind of mine said that i posibly have a bad nutrual relay switch?? the truck will starts sometimes and when it does it may not run right. other times she'll start like a dream.
