Subject: (HELP!) LOW IDLE AND STALLING! IP: Logged
Message: i have a 2000 dakota w/ the 3.9 and it has been idling at lower rpm's then normal and often times when braking from cruising speeds it will stall out... i changed the plugs and it didnt seem to help much, and now i am clueless, any input would be greatly appritiated... thanks

Message: there are several post around here refering to the same problem. first thing, have your battery load tested. check and clean all battery connections. a weak battery will cause this.
if the battery checks out, clean the throttle body, especially the IAC (idle air control). it's on the back of the TB. 2 screws and pull it out, don't lose the oring and don't turn or push in the plunger on it.
