Subject: Radio/Clock does not Work IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2001 Quad Cab. The Clock-Radio unit has burned out (stopped working). The fuses are good so I think there is something wrong with either the clock-radio or CD. One place I called wanted over $300 to replace it. Some used auto parts stores would charge $150-$200 without installation. Any ideas? Anyone else have the same problem?

Message: did you check the fuses under the hood?
my '94 did the same thing and i traced it back to a fuse that is under the hood, beleive it is a 10amp and one of the few auto-fuses on that panel

Message: Fuse will not necessarily specify radio..
Possible "lighter ' fuse .
Or inside cab light
Is everything else working ?
If fuses all ok , you might consider an aftermarket radio !?

Message: I checked all the fuses - even under the hood.
All were o.k.
I found a "Factory" clock/radio from a used auto parts store.......getting it installed.
