Subject: 92 V6 Shuts Off IP: Logged
Message: Runs a little rough, but shuts down without notice. The check engine light does not come on and will not till something cools down. When it does, it starts up again. There are NO codes stored. Voltage at battery is a little less than 14V when idling. Any help to this ?

Message: Idle voltage should be 14.0 to 14.4 volts. You may have a charging problem. Also check the ignition coil resistances when hot and cold.

Message: Thanks. Forgot to mention that I had to replace a fairly new battery about a month ago and just replaced the coil and throttle position sensor.

Message: sounds more like a intermetent working fuel pump
cold starts and runs fine
After a while the pump gets hot and shuts down.
Replace the pump
When it dies and won't start crank over than pull
a plug and you will find it dry no gas

Message: Thanks, Larry. But would this cause the relays and computer to shut down?
This is what I have done so far: replace coil, throttle position sensor, ASD and fuel relays, and redid the splices under the relay box.
