Subject: Project Body Lift Complete! IP: Logged
Message: My 3" lift and Gap Gaurds are installed!!!!!!!! Started @ 10:00am and finished about 8:30pm with time in between for lunch and a couple parts runs(Performance Accessories shorted me some washers and the Lower Rad Hose extension was a useless waste of time). Other than a body ground wire that was too short and pain in the ass Body/Bumper Alignment after lifting (I am a perfectionist down to 1/16") I had a blast and my new Vertical Posture is making me light headed, now time for 33X12.5 mudders after X-MAS unless Santa is good to me. Speakin of Santa, went to Applebees to celebrate and a guy with an 02 QC 4x4 was checkin out my truck and asked for my number to install a lift in his truck before X-Mas, I here Santa's sleigh loaded with my tires for a days work, KaChing! Takin some Digital pics tomorrow when it is light out.

Message: Get me some pics man! Congrats. I know what you mean about the front bumper. I had to put a couple of washers on one side as shims to level it out. And yes, the radiator hose extension is worthless. Thats why I keep telling everyone to get a 21 inch universal fit hose from NAPA. I need to go back and look at my rear bumper. For some reason the other day it didnt look like it was level.

Message: Does any body have any pictures that show how much that frame rails on the dakota are exposed after a 3inch body lift? I would love to lift my truck some but dont like the way the frame rails show on most trucks. I have been looking around the web and havnt been able to find any good pictures with decent light so you could see under the truck. Anyone help me out thanks.

Let me know what ya think! Remember bigger tires coming soon... Ignore the pics of my wifes Tiburon, it burns rice but looks cool and goes fast, fun to drive when I want my ass sittin 3 inches off the ground and an adrenaline fix for speed.

Message: i was just going to wait to do my solid axle swap in the spring, but i just went (after reading a post about it) to 4wheelparts.com, and found that they carry the 3" body lift for my truck for $78... um, score! i'm not sure yet, but damn, for that price, it's hard to pass up. i cranked my torsion bars and added 3" blocks in the back, and 31" a/t's, so it's up a bit, but that'll just make it look so much sweeter, and then i'll pretty much definitely be able to slap some 35's in there after the swap... hmm... what do you think???

Message: Jlo, are you an bank Exe. or something. That damn solid axel swap is some big $bucks. Are you going to do the work yourself or have a shop do it? I am wanting to find out more about this axel swap process. Thanks man, have a good one.

Message: 2THEXTRM <----------- Big Grin, thanks for the compliment, been gettin that alot lately since I installed the body lift, not sure why? j/k. I got every option except 3.92's and overhead homelink transmitter with Compass/Temp and now wish I got both:( I had a hard time deciding between Bright Silver or White but glad I went with Silver:) I have the Street Scene Grille and Lower Valance, got both at dealer cost for less than $200. Not sure what retail is, I think $250-$300 if I remember the catalog pricing correctly. If you get it, suggest you put on the lower valance at the time of body lift as it is MUCH easier with the bumper off(put mine on with bumper on). Hope your Dak arrives soon, it will be worth the wait!

Message: Thanks for the info I just put your link on my favorites I have only been able to find one real pic of a silver cc sport. I didn't need the overhead convenience group or 3.92's but I said what the hell mine as well live it up, right? what's the price diff over 5 years in payments plus it's another toy to mess with lol. I originally wanted intense blue but since they got rid of it in 02 I had to figure out another color, just got rid of a black s10 extreme and didn't want another scratch showing dark color, and so the silver really started to grow on me, well good luck w/ the new lift and let us know when you get the new wheels and tires
