i know this is a dak site, but does anyone know if the srt-10 truck has a key ignition?

theres this pathological liar that hangs out with a group of friends of mine and he says this last weekend he was in san antonio and went and test drove an srt-10.he said "when i urned the key and it fired up",i was under the impression that they were push button.he lies about everthing from driving a police interceptor camaro to riding hyabusas and such.i just want to call him out on this.

and as many things as he test drives,he drives a slowass 2000 chevy 1/2ton that my r/t creams.he wont admit that either.boy, these chevy drivers!

and the only test drives they give on srt-10's is when you sign the dotted line and your driving it off the lot after you just spent 45K for it

You gotta ask yourself one question...That Thing Got A HEMI???

yeah I wouldnt think you can test drive them until you sign the papers and on your way home. They probably dont let you test drive them because you would just do that to beat the piss out of it and say I dont wanna buy it.

They have to offer a test drive. My truck was on the showroom floor. The salesman looked for another R/T for me to test drive but ended up moving 3 cars and a table to let me test drive the truck.

he said "put $35,000 down"

i am sure they are just as picky with the Ram SRT-10

I'm sure they are discriminating, go in with a suit and tie and test the srt10. Make 'em think you have money.

im sure they will let someone test drive it,they are just gonna be picky.when that ugly lancer evolution came out i went up and looked at those and they had signs on them saying you had to be pre approved to buy one to test drive one,and then they could pretty much discriminate after that too.i bet the dodge dealers are like that too.

They most likely have a credit check done first to make sure you can afford it. I know thats what a Dodge dealer near me does for Vipers. Mitsubishi Lancer EVO's are the same way around here, you basically sign the papers saying you will buy it, then you get a test drive.

You have to agree to buy before the test drive? What happens when you notice, after the test drive around the block, that the SRT-10 has just used a half tank of gas and you don't want it anymore?
BMW dealers will let you test drive an M3 with no commitment and it costs more than the viper truck.

Allright my friend just bought one of these this past weekend... They let him testdrive it over a month ago when they first got three of them... This is a 5 star dealer "Jacky Jones Dodge, they always get trucks ahead of time compared to everyone else around here" and I will say that his whole family is in pretty good with the owner and they have bought many vehicles from them so that could have something to do with all the test drives and trust and what not... I beleive that he traded in his Lightning on it... BUT now back to subject, I personally wasn't too impressed with it!!! He even said himself that his cobra would more than likely if not beat it, deffinately hang with it with fair ease... It's more viper name and looks than anything...

You want to know something else??? There was a competition down at the track this last weekend involving the new neon rt, new hemi ram, and of course the new srt10... Want to know who wiped the floor with all of them... The neon rt with a 100 shot of nitrous is who... I kinda expected that with the hemi ram because I'm not at all impressed with it and personally don't think it deserves the hemi name, but that's just me and a few others... BUT the srt10, that's almost depressing and I'm not talking about minor defeat, I'm talking about wiping the floor with it...

Oh yeh it does have a nice bright red button that says start... The leather seats with the imbedded logo are really all that nice about the interrior... Dash needs big improvements and the stock gay looking big ass center console offsets the hurst shifter big time...

It doesn't even have headers for crying out loud...

I think that must have cut it back on hp for some reason, because it just don't seem right...

i have seen track testing of 13.1 in the 1/4 mile

fastest truck ever to leave an assembly line...

is that depressing?

and yes... i am sure many vehicles that have been modified can beat it... having to compare a full size truck to a cobra is saying a lot about that truck.

I was wondering if anyone would comment on that ; )) Actually I kinda expected that from the moded neon rt, but for how much the srt10 cost and what it is suppost to have under the hood, I guess I was just expecting it not to beat it as bad or stay fairly close instead of mopping the floor with it... That's what I meant by depressing "you know 500hp vs 3something"... + I think it would have been better off with the bed cover instead of the corny wing... AND actuall dual exhaust besides the two out on the passenger side...

Has anyone ever noticed the bumper stop insert in the springs for the spring wrap... That's deffenately the first time I've ever seen that one for extra traction instead of an all out spring package...

look towards the center of the diff... it even has a third shock for axle wrap (kinda like the old pinion snubbers)

45k doesnt just buy the motor... there's a lot more into then that.

but.. it still weights twice as much as a peon... then add a lot more power to it, and it will beat a truck.

Why does the hood have a hole in it? Keep engine cool? It isn't functioning ram air, that's for dang sure!

Why a spoiler with no tanneau cover? Is the drag made by the open bed not enough to keep it on the ground?

Dodge said the spoiler was actually functional, but I doubt it needs it. Just for more styling, whether you like it or not.
