Are there any dakotas on this site that can beat an S-10 with 600hp? 500 on motor and 600 with Nitrous.Its now a sub 11 truck, with leafs.

The one ton dually would need alot more than 700hp to move its overweight ass down the track, I don't need 10 cylinders either, or 500 cubes.

Yes there are multiple dakotas who dyno over 600rwhp and run 10's/11's. At the national R/T meet in houston this year there should be at least four 10-second trucks in attendance.

I was being SARCASTIC DUMB@SS!!
Coming on here with a 600HP S10 would be like one of us with a 700HP Dak going to a Chevy forum and challenging a 1ton dually. A gen3 Dakota weighs almost a 1000lbs more than an S10. A 1ton Chevy outweighs a Dakota by about 1000lbs. Do the math DUM@ASS!

At the track it comes down to who's faster,thats it, not who has more weight, who has smaller tires who can't hook up etc. You just deal with it.

You deal with what characteristics your particular vehicle may have, ie the boat anchors you dodge boys run between the fenders, or the lack of weight over the tires. Oh yah I have a 4 link and 28 x 14.5 hoosier quick time pro dot's, and a 12 bolt rear end to hook up.

Where are you located? I would love to get together with you at a track and see what your s-10 can do. I have a Dakota with a 390 cubic inch(boat anchor) between the fenders, and no weight over the rear, But I do have 28X10.5 slicks and no problems hooking up.

This Vega won the 2002 fastest street car title in Manitoba Canada. Street legal. Street legal tires also. If you want to know the track it is Viking International Raceway in Gimli.There is a picture on the viking site with his front tires off the ground about 3 feet.

Nice car.. Too bad your so far from me. I've been driving my friends 69 Camero for 2 years. We will be racing in The PRO fastest streetcar series this year(Super Street). We will make every race. I'll be happy to race that Vega in the Camero. There are several races up north in the series,you should catch one. As for my Dakota, I haven't found a non-tubbed(with slicks) or tubbed (without slicks)TRUCK that I wouldn't race. Too bad your not closer to Louisville KY.
