drew,
it could be several things first off if you have a 195 thermostat get rid of it. the engine control computer is set to run it's best at 182 so if you haven't switch thermostats yet switch to a 180-185. the 195 runs to hot causing coolant pocketing and combustion chambers to run hot.

second if your running the C series plugs get rid of them they don't have a broad enough heat range to run the engine. remove the plug shields and switch to an N series plug good starting point is a RN9YC for the track and a RN11YC for the street just remember the more mods you have the colder the plug should be.

The first obvious question is, when you set the Hypertech to 93 oct, did you actually have 93 in your tank? If not that may take care of it. If you did, put a 180 Tstat in and change plugs to the next cooler plug, ex-Autolite 3923. I'm assuming by your post that you had no problems before the Hypertech, so it probably isn't your plenum gasket. How do you like the Intense Performance III Intake? I've had it on my truck for a little over a year and I love it. It sounds great when I stomp it. It's almost louder than my exhaust.
