Hillarious they advertise its for a Dakota and have a picture of a Mustang.
You can do the same thing yourself for free by relocating your IAT sensor. On my 99 it's on the intake manifold behind the alternator. For pictures on how to do this go here www.mark-world.com/dakota/iat.html

All you get is a resistor to put in line. Do the modification instead of the resistor you can buy at Radio Shack for less than $2.00.

If you look at the bottom picture in the ad, it even shows you the proper resistance to get - 91k. Go to Radio Shack and get one and install it inline to your IAT sensor. You just saved $18.50 + shipping.

Holy crap. I think that would tell the PCM it's below zero!
Resistor (ohms)
IAT temp.
IAT signal
3.9K=118F
4.7K=109F
7K=89F
11K=73F
15K=60F
...etc. The colder the air, the higher the resistance. (a thermistor). Using your brain you would look at the chart and how it increments and could only assume 91k ohms would reference a sub zero temp!
I put 10k inline for now. I figure it would fool it 30 degrees or so and hope to get some more ignition advance, if it does advance vs. temp.
I can not really feel any difference honestly.

OK, if you say so. I'm no electrical genious. I was just going by what it said on the Ebay ad. I haven't done this to my truck, I just relocated it to the inside of the fender.
